Local receipt data

POS Printer Emulator processes receipt jobs, parsed printer commands, and receipt history on the Windows computer where the software is installed. Receipt text, raw ESC/POS data, barcodes, QR-code contents, rendered receipt images, imported logos, account credentials, and diagnostic logs are not included in customer communications and are never sent to an email provider.

Installation, license, maintenance, and usage data

To operate the licensing and maintenance service, the application sends an installation identifier, customer or company name, email address, application version, active license level, license identifier when activated, maintenance status and coverage date, application-launch counts, emulated print-job counts, and last-seen time to POS Printer Emulator over an encrypted HTTPS connection. These records help us manage trials, active licenses, maintenance eligibility, product versions, and aggregate product usage.

Customer communications and consent

POS Printer Emulator may use Brevo as an email-delivery provider for required service messages, such as email verification, password recovery, purchase or support confirmation, and optional product communications. Optional marketing email is sent only when the latest recorded Marketing consent is Granted. Unsubscribes block marketing; bounces, complaints, account closure, and administrative suppressions block all applicable delivery. Consent and suppression decisions are checked again immediately before a queued message is sent.

The communication service sends only the verified recipient address and approved template fields needed for that message, such as name, license level, version, maintenance date, reference number, or a secure website link. The service does not send receipt content, raw print data, passwords, account credentials, device-entitlement tokens, diagnostic logs, or private listener addresses. Delivery identifiers and delivery events are retained for audit, suppression, reliability, and quota enforcement. You may change optional communication choices in the Customer Portal or contact us.

Consented lifecycle analytics

When Product Analytics consent is Granted, the private administration service may retain daily aggregate lifecycle counts by event category and license level. A one-way customer hash is used only to avoid counting the same consenting customer more than once in a daily aggregate. Communication eligibility is never inferred from Product Analytics consent, and aggregate lifecycle data does not include receipt data, raw printer commands, private IP addresses, account credentials, or device-entitlement tokens.

Approximate geographic analytics

When you start a website download or the installed application registers or periodically reports usage, the public IP address associated with that request may be processed transiently to estimate a country and, for United States requests, a state. When our hosting provider does not supply that coarse location, the IP address is sent over HTTPS to an IP-geolocation service solely to perform the lookup. EPCOM Ltd. stores only the resulting country code, optional U.S. state code, and lookup time with download or installation usage records; it does not store the public IP address in the product-analytics database.

The private, two-factor-protected administration dashboard uses these coarse totals to show where downloads and product activity occur. Download totals record download starts and do not prove that an installer finished downloading or was installed. IP-derived geography is approximate and may be wrong because of VPNs, mobile carriers, corporate gateways, shared networks, or routing. It is not a customer address, is not used for advertising, and is not sold as location data.

The installation identifier and authentication token are randomly generated for this application installation. We do not sell this information. Uninstalling the application stops future reporting. To request access, correction, or deletion of registration and usage records, contact us using the address below.

Purchase and renewal records

License purchases and optional maintenance renewals retain the customer details, license tier, amount, currency, payment-provider references, coverage dates, and fulfillment status needed to confirm payment and assign the applicable account license and maintenance entitlement. Payment-card details are processed by PayPal and do not reach this website.

Website data

This website does not include advertising trackers or third-party analytics scripts. A download-start record includes the release version, referring site area, date, and coarse country or U.S. state derived as described above. The hosting provider may separately retain ordinary server logs such as IP address, requested page, browser type, and request time for security and reliability under its own retention and security practices.

Account and device licensing

A verified Customer Portal account, eligible purchase entitlement, and registered computer establish license access. The application receives a signed device-bound entitlement and periodically synchronizes license type, device status, and maintenance coverage. This process does not upload receipt content.
